The short version: Aion is designed to keep core app-state checks on your Mac, and this page explains the details.
No app-usage upload
Your app activity history is not uploaded as part of normal product behavior.
Website analytics are separate
Website analytics measure visits and page interactions; they do not receive Aion app activity history from the Mac app.
Checkout data is separate
If you purchase Pro, checkout only handles the order information needed to complete the purchase.
iCloud sync is limited
Optional iCloud sync covers portable settings, not permissions, licenses, helpers, login items, or Activity History.

1. Local Processing
Aion evaluates app state, cleanup rules, playback/download protection, and local automation signals on your Mac. This app-monitoring data is not sent to our servers.
2. Data Collection
Aion stores your preferences locally, such as app rules, protected apps, Focus behavior, and notification choices. If you enable optional sync, portable settings may be stored through Apple's iCloud infrastructure for your own devices. License, permission, helper, login-item, and activity-history state stays local.
- We do not build an analytics profile from the apps you open or close.
- Aion does not upload your documents, downloads, recordings, or other personal files for analysis.
3. Permissions
Aion asks for macOS permissions only when a feature needs them. Accessibility lets Aion observe and manage app/window state. Optional Full Disk Access helps identify app details and mounted installer volumes. Notification permission is used for alerts and one-click suggestions. These permissions are used for the product features you enable.
4. Third-party Services
Purchases are handled by our payment and licensing providers. They may process the information needed to complete the transaction, issue a license, prevent fraud, and provide receipts. Aion does not receive your full payment card details.
5. Data Security
Most Aion data is stored on your Mac, so its security depends on your device, macOS account, backups, and iCloud settings if sync is enabled. Keep macOS up to date and protect your user account.
6. Your Rights
You can disable individual features in Settings, turn off sync, revoke macOS permissions in System Settings, or uninstall Aion. You can also remove local configuration files if you want to reset the app completely.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy when Aion's features, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
